Hinge/Power button problem

About a year ago the hinge on the left side of my Studio 15 broke simply from opening and closing it, just after my warranty expired. I am a college student and couldn't pay to get it fixed. While I was waiting to save up the cash to fix it, the right hinge broke, and to my dismay, taking the power button with it, apparently (after getting it checked out by a local computer repair shop) ripping out the wire that connects the button to the computer. read more

if you laptop is still under warranty it can be fixed for free if not bring it to a best buy and have geek squad do it it will cost money but they can make to work awesomely or just bring it where you got it and they will tell you what to do with it but for now keep it on pushing it harder will brake it more

Power button problem

I was doing some work with a newish dell inspiron 1545 notebook. In the prcocess, I accidently cracked something off. The power inverter has a small ribbon cable going from it, to a connector on the motherboard.
